- Graduate in Modern Languages (Nigel speaks French and German
well enough to conduct meetings and presentations in these languages, reasonable
Italian and reading knowledge of several other languages).
- Trained in the 1970s as Research Executive at a leading London international
agency. Then gained further experience as a freelance consultant, specialising
in international projects throughout Europe.
- With partner Freda Jones, founded Jones Rhodes Associates
- later JRA Research - in 1978. As Managing Director, grew the business to
a successful and profitable mid-sized agency - JRA is now one of the UK's leading
independent research companies.
Rhodes Research Limited
- Founded JRI Research as an associated company of JRA
in 2002, specialising in international research co-ordination. Built the new
company to a significant turnover in the first few years.
- Restructured businesses in 2004: Our stake in JRA Research
was sold to JRA management, and we bought back 100% of JRI Research's capital.
Whilst we continue to collaborate regularly, JRA and JRI become financially
independent.
- 2007: Renamed JRI Research as Rhodes Research to reflect our independence.
